First thing, you’ll need an Amazon account. If you don’t have one yet, it’s easy to sign up here. You do not need a Prime account.
Next, you’ll need to let Amazon know your location. Navigate to the top of the Amazon website, click the “Deliver to” bar, and enter your Israeli zip code and address.
Once your address is set, search for the items you want to buy. Amazon will only show the items you can actually get delivered here.
A lot of products ship free if your order is $49 or more. Look for the “Free shipping to Israel on orders over $49” note in the search results, or on the product page.
To sort by product which have free shipping, select the filter on the left.
To avoid extra fees, make sure your order (including shipping) stays under $75. If it goes over, you’ll pay 18% VAT plus any other import fees. It’s ok to split your products into multiple orders, even if you purchase them all the same day.
When you check out, Amazon will ask for your Teudat Zehut (ID number) for customs. Just type it in - it’s quick, and you won’t have to do it again next time.
If an item doesn’t offer free shipping, it’s still worth checking the shipping cost. Sometimes it’s not as high as you’d expect, and the total might still be a great deal.
Keep in mind, that if you choose items with a shipping fee, that is not included in the $75 limit.
Here’s a pro tip: If something doesn’t show free shipping at first, add it to your cart and leave it there for a few days. Sometimes Amazon updates the shipping options, and it might become free!
Sometimes when splitting an order into 2 deliveries, amazon may inadvertently charge you for shipping. Just chatting amazon customer service will take care of that - they will refund you right away.
